The national Great Friend to Kids Award has been presented by the Association of Children’s Museums annually and on a regional level by children’s museums throughout the country.
The award honors those who have made significant and outstanding contributions to strengthening education and advancing the interests of children.
Past honorees include Fred Rogers, Hilary Rodham Clinton, Barbara Bush, and UNICEF.
We are proud to present McCormick and Company, Inc. with Port Discovery’s Great Friend to Kids Award* for its outstanding commitment of supporting the Museum’s Healthy Families – Healthy Communities Initiative.
Funds benefit the Museum’s School and Family Access programswhich provide free or reduced admission for children and caregiversfrom economically challenged communities.
*Past recipients include Douglas Becker, Kevin Clash (the voice of Elmo) and former State Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Nancy Grasmick.
Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring fabulous food, cocktails and a menu of fun and spicy activities including a Cook and Tell demonstration led by a “celebrity” chef!
